# Can I use Thyroid Support if I’m taking medication, such as Synthroid, for the thyroid gland?

It is not recommended to use Thyroid Support while taking thyroid medication, such as Synthroid.

When the thyroid is being treated with medication, its activity is medically regulated, and introducing additional products intended to “support” or stimulate thyroid function may not be appropriate.

Some signs that may be associated with suboptimal thyroid function include:

- Morning fatigue despite adequate sleep
- Sensitivity to cold
- Cold hands and feet
- Weight gain despite healthy habits
- Heart palpitations
- Hair loss

However, if you are already diagnosed and treated for a thyroid condition, it is important to follow your prescribed treatment plan.
